Anyone who says a baby shower can’t be pretty and chic hasn’t seen this party! Brittany, of GreyGrey Designs, planned this “Bundle of Joy” shower for two of her longtime clients to celebrate the anticipated arrival of their son, Grayson. Bold geometric patterns, softened by a buttery yellow and cozy grey palette, blend together to lend a bit of panache to Brittany’s theme ideas that could also be used for a gender-neutral baby shower. Stylish decorations, sweet printables, and cute party ware merge with unexpected DIY elements and a fabulous menu to make this event unique.

To go with the requested yellow and grey theme (with subtle giraffe elements), Brittany created a mesh wreath, painted a pre-fab wooden giraffe to blend with the party palette, and added a scrapbook and printable embellishments. Diaper cakes dressed up with “Bundle of Joy” printables by Love the Day and a sweet banner created with leftover diapers look darling. Brittany’s parties always have amazing handmade props — like the little oven at this “Bun in the Oven” baby shower.

Fun designs combine at the main table, where printables and embellishments tie everything together. Theme-colored fabric backs a beautiful garland, by LillyPaul Designs. The show-stopping centerpiece cupcake tower is actually made of hat boxes covered with paint, scrapbook paper, and decorative elements.

Printed photo boxes vary in display heights, and with a printed table runner and occasional doilies, make a big impact. Specially-requested chocolate-covered Oreos, by Sweet Temptations, look great stacked on a pretty pedestal. Brittany arranged a mouthwatering menu of BLT bites, spinach dip, mini ham sandwiches, shrimp crostini, chicken salad croissants, and pasta salad. Helpful printable menu tents label each item. GreyGrey Designs’ Boy Meets World baby shower had a great menu, also.

Disposable tableware never looked so trendy and cute as these fantastic ombre chevron paper plates and napkins. Putting cutlery in an oversized mug and straws in a glass decanter adds a little baby shower sophistication. Guests “ooh-ed and ahh-ed” over this remarkable watermelon baby carriage and fruit platter, made by the mom of the shower hostess. Crystal decanters offered poppy seed or fruit dip.

Baby Gray’s initial (customized with Modge Podge and scrapbook paper) and a framed printable welcome guests to the party favor table, where charming little themed sugar cookies, by Whimsy Cookie Co, wait to be taken home. Combining a unique assortment of patterns and prints, Brittany created a one-of-a-kind style for this yellow and grey “Bundle of Joy” baby shower. Many of her creative ideas could easily inspire your event.
