- 4 to 6 ounces orange juice
- 1½ ounces vodka 1 shot
- 1 cup ice cubes
Fill glass with ice.
Add 1 shot of high-quality vodka.
Pour orange juice to fill the glass.
Fill the glass with orange juice, add an orange slice or maraschino cherry for garnish. Serve immediately.
TIP: Screwdrivers are traditionally served over ice and often as a breakfast/brunch cocktail. You could shake with ice, chill the glass, and serve strained so there is no melted ice to water the drink down.
TIP: The quantity of orange juice will vary according to how much ice and the size of the glass used. For glasses larger than 8 ounces, you can add two shots of vodka.
TIP: For the best flavor in this simple screwdriver, quality does matter. We recommend high-quality vodka such as Grey Goose, Smirnoff, or Tito’s.
TIP: Serve this simple cocktail with a straw or drink mixer so the alcohol can be redistributed as it’s being consumed.
