24ouncesChex cereal,I used rice and wheat (one 12-ounce box of each)
16ouncesSnyder’s sourdough pretzel nibblers
1cupChristmas mini M&M's,divided in half
1bagStarlight peppermints,about 30 divided in half
½cupChristmas sprinkles,divided in half
Cover two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
In a Ziploc bag, crush the peppermints using a hammer or meat mallet.
In a very large mixing bowl, combine the two kinds of Chex cereal, Bugles, and pretzels. Use two large spoons and gently mix.
Remove half of the cereal mixture and set aside, leaving the remaining half in the very large bowl. You are going to work in two batches.
Melt one package of the CandiQuik according to the package instructions.
Drizzle about ¼ of the melted white chocolate over the cereal. Quickly sprinkle the M&M's, peppermints, and candy sprinkles (1 tablespoon at a time) over the cereal. Mix gently using two large spoons.
Repeat this step two to three times, pouring the melted CandiQuik and then quickly sprinkling M&M's, peppermints, and sprinkles, then mixing. Do this until you have used all of one package of CandiQuik and half of the M&Ms, peppermints, and sprinkles.
Dump this batch onto your prepared baking sheet, letting it completely cool.
Repeat the above steps for the second batch.
This festive snack will disappear fast. Consider making a double batch to ensure you have enough!
Don’t overmix when stirring the cereal mixture in the bowl; you don’t want to break the Chex cereal.
Have your M&M's, crushed peppermints, and sprinkles ready to add to the mixture as soon as the white chocolate is melted.
