  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter cubed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups walnuts roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup walnuts roughly chopped, for top of fudge (optional)


  • Line a baking sheet with foil or an 8 x 8 casserole dish.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl place the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the chocolate chips but do not mix.
  • Add the butter cubes on top of the milk/chips.
  • Microwave on high power for two to three minutes total (depending on the power of the microwave), stirring every 30-60 seconds until the butter has almost completely melted.
  • Immediately remove from microwave and stir until well combined.
  • Stir in vanilla and nuts.
  • Immediately pour into prepared dish and spread to your desired thickness.
  • Refrigerate until set.
  • Cut and serve.
