  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 10 ounces frozen sliced peaches, thawed
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 8 ounces crescent rolls, (I used Pillsbury Butter flake)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • cup ginger ale

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. You will need an 8x8-inch glass baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, stir to combine the cinnamon, salt, ground ginger, and nutmeg.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of the spice blend to a medium bowl with the thawed sliced peaches. Stir to coat all the peach slices in the spices. Set aside.
  • In another medium bowl, add the remaining spice blend, brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir to combine thoroughly.
  • Unroll the opened tube of crescent rolls and separate each individual triangle. At the large end of 1 triangle, place two slices of spiced peaches. Roll up the crescent dough starting at the large end and ending with the small point on the top of the roll and place it into the 8x8 glass baking dish. Repeat with the remaining peaches and crescent rolls.
  • Spoon the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the dumpling rolls in the dish. You can spoon any extra butter mixture in between, and on the sides, of the dumplings as well. This will help make a delicious syrupy sauce for your peach dumplings.
  • Carefully pour the ginger ale around and on the sides of the peach dumplings being careful not to pour it directly on top of the crescent rolls.
  • Bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until your peach dumplings are golden brown and bubbly. Allow them to rest on the counter for 5 minutes before serving.

  • This is a very easy recipe to double up if you are serving a crowd. You will need to use a 9x13-inch glass baking dish instead of the 8x8-inch size. You may have to add a couple more minutes to your bake time, so I suggest checking them at 25 minutes and then adjusting your time as needed.
  • If your peach slices are very thick, you can slice them in half, lengthwise, or just use 1 peach slice per dumpling.
  • You can spoon any extra butter mixture in between and on the sides of the dumplings. This will help make a delicious syrupy sauce for your peach dumplings.
  • Oven temperatures vary and may need to be recalibrated periodically to ensure they are accurate. Make sure to check your peach dumplings at the lower end of the recommended baking time.
