BROCCOLI AND RICE CASSEROLE

INGREDIENTS:

– 6 cup fresh broccoli florets – 2 1/2 cup cooked rice – 3 tbsp butter – 1 small onion finely diced – 3 tbsp all-purpose flour – 2 cup milk – 2 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup – 1 tbsp chicken soup base – 1 tsp salt – 1 tsp garlic powder – 1 tsp onion powder – 1/2 tsp black pepper – 1/2 tsp paprika – 4 oz cream cheese softened – 1/2 cup sour cream – 2 1/2 cup colby jack cheese

Cook broccoli in boiling water for 3-4 mins

Saute onion in melted butter for 5-7 mins

Whisk in flour and seasonings

Slowly whisk in milk

Whisk in cream of chicken soup

Add sour cream, cream cheese, and cheese

Whisk until the sauce is smooth

Add rice and broccoli florets

Stir well until combined

Pour into dish then bake for 25 mins at 350

Sprinkle with shredded cheese

Cook for 10 mins at 350
