BACON PASTA

INGREDIENTS:

– 3 cups penne pasta dry – 2 tsp table salt – 14 strips bacon diced – 1 tbsp fresh garlic minced – 1 1/2 cup heavy cream – 1/2 cup whole milk – 3/4 cup grated parmesan – 2 tsp onion powder – 1/2 tsp black pepper – 1 tsp kosher salt – 2 tbsp grated parmesan  – 1 1/2 tbsp finely chopped fresh flat parsley

Boil pasta, drain, then set aside

In a skillet cook bacon then remove

Add the minced garlic

Saute for 1 1/2 to 2 mins

Add heavy cream and whole milk

Scrape bottom of skillet to release the bacon bits

Stir until evenly coated

Add parmesan, salt, pepper, and onion powder

Add pasta

Stir until evenly coated

Sprinkle on parmasen cheese

Sprinkle on the cooked bacon

Top with parsley
