Fall is such a delightful season! The warm autumnal colors and cooler weather invite cuddles and coziness. I love roasting hot dogs and s’mores in our outdoor fireplace and curling up in front of a blazing fireplace indoors with a good book. Cider and donuts? Yes, please. More frequent baking sessions are in order, too…maybe caramel stuffed chocolate chip cookies? I guess the only thing that comes with autumn that I don’t enjoy is drier skin. Furnace season has always seemed to do an unfortunate number on my sensitive skin. I think this year is going to be different.
While I was at Target last time I picked up a new product, Jergen’s Wet Skin Moisturizer. I actually bought two of them: Coconut Oil and Monoi Oil, which has a light gardenia scent (there’s also a third variety, Green Tea Oil). Their advertising hooked me but the product performance makes it a keeper! I love what it does for my skin.
You really do apply this Jergen’s Wet Skin Moisturizer lotion on wet skin. The recommendation is to use about a dime sized dollop for each arm and a quarter size for each leg, so that’s what I did. It instantly absorbs into your skin, and seals in hydration while your skin is at its most moist. You don’t need to rinse it off and you can pat yourself dry after applying it if you want, but I didn’t find it necessary—a real time saver on busy mornings. This lotion leaves you with really soft skin. I was amazed—I felt like I had my own glow!
The good effects of this lotion last, too. I often feel like I need to keep re-applying lotion to make my skin feel smooth, but that isn’t necessary with this lotion. Jergen’s Wet Skin Moisturizer really seems to lock in the hydration until you’re ready to shower the next day.
How about you? Does cooler weather bring on the dry skin for you? I suggest using Jergen’s Wet Skin Moisturizer and then head to your cozy kitchen to make some cookies. You’ll both be soft and sweet! These two-step caramel stuffed chocolate chip cookies are quick and super-easy.
TWO-STEP CARAMEL STUFFED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
- Use premade cookie dough or your favorite chocolate chip recipe.
- Put a caramel inside each cookie.
- Bake. Eat. Smile.
TIP: Be sure to let the cookies set on your cookie sheet for a bit, but remove them before the caramel hardens and sticks to the pan. Otherwise you’ll be eating very delicious cookie pieces…which are great with ice cream, BTW!
