Review PostStorm Trooper Cupcakes
Have any Star Wars fans at your house? With the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens slated to be released in mid-December, I predict there will be a whole lot of new fans and a lot of boys asking for a Star Wars birthday party theme. Bet they’d think these Storm Trooper Cupcakes would be pretty cool on the dessert table. Or, if you’re going to see the movie, just make some of these cupcakes as a fun part of the evening. Mom, you’ll like them because you can use a cake box mix to create a fast and easy version of the Storm Troopers for your troop.

STAR WARS STORM TROOPER CUPCAKES
Ingredients:
- White box cake mix or your favorite homemade cake recipe
- White Buttercream Frosting
- Marshmallows
- Black Wilton Frosting or a Food Grade Marker in Black
Directions:
1. Mix your cake mix as directed or use your favorite homemade cake recipe. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F). Line your cupcake tin with white cupcake holders and set aside.
2. Spoon the cake batter into the cupcake liners (filling about ½ way each) and bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely, and then frost.
3. While the cupcakes are cooling prepare your storm troopers (marshmallows). After testing these, for me I found it was much easier to make the faces with the black food grade marker. First add a line across the top, and then make two triangles for the eyes. Add the mouth and breathing lines off to the side to complete your Storm Trooper.
4. Generously frost each cupcake. For ease in frosting, I use this cupcake decorating set. Begin frosting on an outside edge, working toward the center in a circular motion. Carefully add your Storm Troopers in the center of the cupcake.
5. Enjoy!
