Making a splash at your next boy birthday party is easy with a pool party bash! Anne, of UR invited, styled a light-hearted and colorful retro pool party to celebrate her son’s 7th birthday.

Jonathan was born in February, when it’s quite warm in Australia, so the theme was a perfect fit! I love the cheerful color palette and retro vibe.

The invitation Anne designed really set the tone for a great event and I bet guests couldn’t wait to dive into the delicious dessert table!

An impressive dessert table often starts with an impressive backdrop and Anne nailed it! The large backdrop sign invited guests to”make a splash at Jonathan’s pool party”. It incorporates all of the great colors from the invitation in a variety of eye-catching fonts.

A simple white tablecloth allows the incredible desserts to be the stars of the show. And don’t you love the oversized yellow letters that spell out “pool” at the foot of the table?

So many fun summer and pool themed desserts fill the tabletop. The pool shaped cake by Little Miss Marzipan is absolutely fantastic!

I love the expressions on the swimmers’ faces; even looking at them invites you to get into the water!

Containers of colorful treats lined the table.

The large variety of awesome desserts included ice cream sundae cupcakes, ice cream cone cupcakes and ice cream bar cake pops.

I’m pretty sure everyone at the party screamed for the ice cream themed desserts at this party!

Amazing sunglass, flip flop and icy pole cookies were neatly displayed for quick consumption.

Printable party food labels helped guests choose which sweets to eat first.

Pool party favors were appropriately offered in mini water buckets. Treats, swimming goggles and a face-drying cloth were a great way to say thanks to guests for “splashing” with Jonathan.

What a fun summer party theme!
