An event planner obviously enjoys the preparations it takes to pull a party together; you can imagine the pleasure is especially keen when the celebration is for the event planner’s own kids!
This boy’s 4th birthday party was put together by Jodie Smith, of Treat Boutique, for her little four-year-old fella. Jodie came up with the fun decoration ideas shared in this race car themed birthday party and served as the photographer as well.
From the custom VIP lanyard invitations to a coordinating birthday cake and the sweets dessert table to the party games, this car party will have your event-planning mind racing!

Dessert table backdrops are still an impressive addition to children’s parties, they really add a coordinated look.
Jodie created a high energy sweets station for little Leo’s celebration by mixing shades of red, yellow, blue and black.
An incredible personalized sign was a highlight of the table and served as an eye-catching focal piece for tying in all of the various desserts.
I can only imagine how excited party guests were about fueling up on all of the colorful candies and the darling cake! Some of my favorite treats are the chocolate covered Oreos, layered “jelly” pots and licorice.
Served in glass apothecary jars and vessels, the various treat colors popped against the white tablecloth. Jodie added interest by displaying the sweets at various levels on rustic crates and wood boxes.
Jodie hired an indoor racing car track for Leos celebration and I absolutely adore the winner’s podium that she set up as part of the party space.
The customized backdrop with black and white checkered squares and the birthday boy’s name and age is genius. I bet every guest felt like a winner at this race car birthday party.
