I used to hate drinking water. I tried. I knew I was supposed to drink water. After all, the human body is approximately 60% water but I couldn’t get in the routine of drinking it regularly. But, as I have mentioned before, our new Strauss WaterBar has finally converted me. Not only am I now drinking way more water, I’m also experimenting with lots of ideas for infused water and flavored lemonade recipes.
Since the weather has been amazing these past few weeks, we’ve been having more people over to enjoy the backyard. The Strauss WaterBar has been fantastic in helping us fill pitchers and make drinks using water that tastes great. The triple purification system removes 99% of the bacteria, leaving fresh, pure mineralized water.
The convenience of pressing a button and having purified cold or hot water instantly has made it easy to drink more — as well as serve guests. My Strauss WaterBar has a cool feature so I can fill pitchers of water as easily as pouring an individual serving. Thats appreciated when I want to make enough for the whole family and especially when were entertaining.
We live in an agricultural community and the strawberries are already at our local farmers market (a bit early this year). They taste amazing! I have popped over to the market for the last three dayswe are noshing right through them.
As we are drinking more water based beverages, I have been experimenting with infused lemonades. Making a strawberry lemonade has been on my list. This is the seasonyouve got to try it. Its delicious. There is the tasty tartness of the lemons but its infused with the sweetness of strawberries. Its full of health and beauty benefits so you feel virtuous while youre sipping!
According to the reading Ive done, strawberries have a unique combo of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients that are especially good for supporting the cardiovascular system. I’ve heard that they help boost short term memory, ease inflammation, promote bone health, help burn stored fat and contain anti-aging properties. I have also heard that lemon is a great liver detoxifier and rich in vitamin C, which helps neutralize free radicals that are linked to aging and disease. Soadding strawberries and lemons to water is a total win! Plus, I LOVE what all this water drinking is doing for my skin.
