Baby shower ideas don’t get any cuter than this light-hearted mustache theme. Paula, of Frog Prince Paperie, has put together a happy party full of favors and cakes, and decorations with great appeal. We giggled at some of Paula’s fun party decorations and like that many of the party supplies serve a double purpose. I’m sure this darling baby shower will send guests home with big grins and warm fuzzies.

Guests immediately see bright baby blue and orange announcements that serves as a “Welcome” sign, but it can also be a cute piece of art for the nursery. With the giant handlebar mustache front and center, guests have got to know they are in for a fun celebration. We love how Paula arranged the food and desserts around the vintage baby photos in pretty blue frames and you can’t help but laugh out loud when you see that the babes have mustaches.
A side table with fanciful, curvy legs, serves up extra style as well as yummy food. What a great idea to use matching bookcases for dessert “tables”. Paula’s arrangements on the different levels add a lot to the light-hearted party atmosphere and it takes less floor space; a real boon in homes filled with guests. Fresh berries look party ready in glass dessert cups, elevated on a central faux pedestal. The main course of hot ham and Swiss sandwiches and wasabi vegetables stand tall on black pedestals gussied up with ribbon bows. Tasty treats are cleverly presented on individual spoons, arranged on a pretty platter. I always like fresh flowers and they look dressed-up-casual in twine-wrapped canning jars.
Colorful, mini pennants add party cheer and are easy to do. Cupcakes in a variety of coordinating wraps are topped with theme medallions mounted on mini barber-type, stripped “poles”. Mustache cookies are looking good on their pedestal, too. Chocolate mustaches on a stick and colored candies brighten the display, as do the mini yarn poms and striped ribbons. I love the look of that regal top hat resting on the beribboned box.
We like Paula’s idea to use chalkboard food labels; she added extra style by placing them in frames so they can also serve as trays. They look good and they can be reused for a future gathering. Keep looking and see how many mustaches you can find. Even the water bottles wear mustaches on their sleeves. You could certainly tie the theme into the baby shower games as well. Take-home favor glasses look sporty in their “‘staches” and the tissue adds a grand dose of color. The display is a nice way to welcome guests to a happy party and a nice “thank you” to send home with them.
