Hi, Suzie here from Project: Party Perfect! Earlier this year I created a party for Spaceships and Laser Beams’ “Boy Bash on a Budget” (check it out here), and I made these Alien Cups to match the Alien Invasion Collection.
Customizing your paper cups is a perfect way to make your event more special and unique. Since it was so easy and inexpensive…I had to do it again! This time with a certain Big, Blue Friendly Monster.
Seriously, with the upcoming Monsters University movie, my place has turned into one big Monster! I’ve made Monster Eggs, Monster Bubbles…and now Monster Paper Cups. I’m surprising my son with a Monster Breakfast before we head to the movie theater and I think he’ll love drinking his milk in this Sulley-inspired cup.
Colored Paper Cups (aqua)
Feathers (aqua, purple)
Circle Cut-Outs (purple)
Hot Glue Gun
Circle Craft Punch
Start by cutting the “furry” part of your feather and Hot Glue them to the top part of the cup (be careful) to create the eyebrows. Next position and attach the googly-eyes below the eyebrows with Hot Glue or Glue Dots. Draw the nose by making a triangle and add a smile (remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect). Finally, attach your circles all around the cup using the Glue Stick.
If you want to keep it simple, you can make a Mike Wazowski cup by simply attaching a googly-eye to the center of a Green Paper Cup.
