So far this summer, building cities and reading stories together have been high on Sam’s want-to list. The other thing he has been talking about is wanting to see the new Minions movie. Sam loves the Minions. He’s even counting down the number of sleeps until July 10th.
(Psst, don’t miss these Minion parties as well!)
Sam has watched both Despicable Me movies more times than I can count. For the longest time, they were the only two movies on our iPad. When we drove to Newfoundland (3 days in the car) and Florida (3 days in the car), he watched them over and over again when he wasn’t playing in his seat, looking out the window or sleeping. So Sam can actually tell the Minions apart by looking at them. He doesn’t understand why I don’t know Dave from Kevin. I think he’s pumped about the new movie because he wants a new addition to his road trip line-up!
When we were at Walmart, Sam saw the cereal boxes with the Minions and of course he wanted some. While he is waiting for the new movie release, Sam is keeping busy hunting for Minions in the General Mills cereal boxes. That means lots of cereal at our house. How many bowls of cereal can you eat when youre hoping to collect every Minion for your best friend and yourself? Reckoning by Sams behaviorquite a few.
I can remember looking for toy prizes when I was Sams age. Having a treat to eat and then a prize too? Pure joy. Im certainly not going to deprive Sam of that! The 7th Minion is only available at Walmart, in specially marked boxes of General Mills Cereal. Fortunately for Sam, I never mind a trip to Walmart. Also fortunate for SamI have a cool idea for some of that cereal that adds to his Minion madness: Minion Mix. Honey Nut Cheerios and Golden Grahams are great for snacking, especially when you add yellow jelly beans and candy eyes!
Sam will probably remember the summer of 2015 as the summer of the Minions but Mike and I will probably call it the summer of munching Minion Mix.
