Try Recommended before your next project!
Remember being told, “Don’t talk to strangers”? But who ya gonna call when there’s a job to be done and you don’t know who to call? I found a way to get ‘er done and have peace of mind. It’s called Recommended. It’s a really cool website that you’re going to want to check out. You can win a $450 package in their sweepstakes, too. And while I’m recommending things, I have this new recipe for some incredible Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies you’re going to want—more on that in a moment. Thanks to Recommended for making life easier and for sponsoring this post!
This week I was trying to find a dentist in our area. I’d heard of this new (to me) website where you can ask for recommendations as well as share your recommendations with friends. I joined and right away started looking through fields.
I asked about a local dentist who is great with kids and I included I didn’t want to wait for months to get an appointment.
Normally I put things like that out on social media but I like the broader reach Recommendation gives plus there’s an option to have your request published on Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, LinkedIn, email and your own mailing lists, too.
I found a dentist in the right vicinity and read comments from his patients. I was impressed with what I learned and comfortable enough to make a call to visit the office. So much better than choosing a random name and knowing nothing about that business!
After searching through the various fields, I also wrote recommendations for some of my favorite businesses.
And then, I created a business page for my own portrait photography business! Sign up is free. People can see a portfolio, find out where I’m located and learn who has recommended me and why.
And right now through November 30, Recommended is hosting a Family Matters Sweepstakes. You recommend parent-friendly resources (doctors, baby-sitters, house cleaning services, etc.) you rely on and every recommendation is an entry to win a $450 Parents’ Care Package. It includes $100 to Massage Envy, $100 to Urban Sitter, $100 for a dinner out for two, and $150 to Handy for house cleaning.
Who wouldn’t like that?! It’s easy to do and it’s great to know your input can help others. Enter here!
And here’s that awesome Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookie recipe I mentioned. You might want something to nosh on while you peruse the site.
These cookies have a delectable chewy texture that is so satisfying! Chocolate chunks, coconut, and a hint of java do something special to those oats.
And real butter and egg gives them a just-right crisp on the outside.
You know you’ve eaten a cookie with substance when you have one.
I highly recommend you try some! 😉
