How to Make Homemade Baby Ruth Bars
Boil, mix, press. It’s that easy!
Grab the Karo syrup and both sugars. You’re gonna bring them to a boil and let them boil for one minute. But be careful- don’t let it boil over! (Can you imagine the sticky mess? Yikes, let’s avoid that!)
Mix together with the rest of the ingredients and put into a buttered pan. Press down and lay hot chocolate bars or chocolate chips on top while hot- spread.
Cut them while warm to get nicely cut bars.
I’ve heard some suggestions to line the pan with foil that has been buttered or sprayed, as it makes it easier to take them out. I think that’s a great idea.

Homemade Baby Ruth
- 1 cup white Karo syrup
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 6 cups Corn Flakes
- Bring Karo syrup and both sugars to a boil, being careful to not let boil over.
- Mix together the peanut butter, peanuts, and Corn Flakes and put into a buttered 9x9 dish.
- Spread the chocolate chips over the top of the Corn Flakes mixture while it's still warm so the chocolate melts.
- Cut into squares while still warm.
