Guests received authentic-looking “boarding pass” invitations, by 505 Design and Paperie, for a “first class ticket to fun!”
Jessica designed this fantastic dessert buffet table with printables by Vens Paperie. I love the framed “food court” print.
A cute little red airplane zooms across a simple backdrop, complemented by a fabric tablecloth and beautiful balloons.
Menu cards label each dessert. The gorgeous centerpiece cake is surrounded by adorable cake pops.
Jessica used beribboned cake stands of varying heights for the cake and cupcake displays to add interest and give guests easier access to the party treats.
She also thoughtfully portioned out theme-colored candies in cupcake liners for guest convenience.
I’ve seen desserts served standing in sprinkles, candy, and even confetti, but I’ve never seen rock candy sticks displayed in a decanter of sugar. What a fun, creative party idea.
Jessica loved making the candy airplane favors she found on Pinterest, and they were the hit of the party.
Partygoers also enjoyed ice cream from pretty paper cups, which Jessica punched holes in to attach wooden spoons, so even the littlest guests wouldn’t drop their utensils.
Guests chose from red or blue Hawaiian Punch (what an effortless theme-colored drink option) or water customized with printable labels.
While little ones enjoyed some play time, grown up guests were invited to leave a note in Graham’s time capsule, which Jessica opted for in lieu of a traditional guestbook.
She and her husband will store them in a mini suitcase, for Graham to open on his 20th birthday. What a thoughtful idea.
Before departing, partygoers visited the “baggage claim” area to pick up their party favors; fun, polka dot gable boxes, with tags labelled for each guest, filled with small, age-appropriate toys.
With coordinating party décor and special touches, Jessica put together a precious party to celebrate Graham’s first year.
