Mike, Sam and I have been on a Caribbean Cruise this past week. It’s been awesome. I haven’t slept as much or had as much fun in decades! Since the internet service was spotty, there was not much opportunity to work. And let me tell you, a girl could get used to having someone else prepare and clean up after every meal!
Getting ready for our trip was not so much fun. I had just returned from walking through a serious health crisis with my grandparents, something we’re still adjusting to. I came back home to a stack of commitments, four days to get everything done, and packing for all three of us. I’m a proponent of packing light but that takes some effort. One of the things I for sure needed to pack was Mike’s new Philips Shaver Series 9000. I knew I’d be writing this post about it. Besides, I wanted Mike to look his handsome best!
The Philips Shaver Series 9000 is the best razor ever, according to Mike. He loves it! Ever since I’ve known Mike he has used his favorite brand of disposable razors. He is really opposed to change!
Mike has a coarse beard that really grows overnight plus he has sensitive skin. That combo meant that he has often let his beard grow out because shaving has tended to be an uncomfortable chore. He shaved every day while we were on the cruise—I loved it! The Philips 9000 has three personal comfort settings so it adjusts to skin and hair type: Slow (for an even more skin-friendly shave), Medium (for a thorough shave), and Fast (for a high-powered shave). It can be used dry, which is the only way most electric razors can be used, or it can be used with shaving gel or foam for a refreshing wet shave. No more bloody nicks!
From my highly scientific testing, the V-track precision blades that cut hair up to 30% closer really deliver. The contour detect technology allows each shaving head to independently move in eight directions to follow facial curves. I told Mike his face was almost as soft as Sam’s! Almost. Mike said this razor gives him a really close shave without having to go over and over the same spots.
Mike likes the SmartClean System. It cleans, lubricates, dries and charges the shaver. And the lithium-ion battery gives more shaves per charge. With all of the features and the resultant closer shave, Mike says he thought shaving with this razor was quicker and more comfortable than usual.
Add to all of those features the fact that the storage case is designed for convenient travel—storage takes up less suitcase space—and you’ll see why we both give the Philips Shaver Series 9000 two thumbs up!
You can help your own honey get a comfortable and closer shave with the Philips Shaver Series 9000. It retails for $369.99 at major retailers, including Amazon.ca, Best Buy, London Drugs, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Centre Du Rasoir, and Personal Edge.
