Because of her son’s absolute love for airplanes, Roxie said an airplane theme was perfect for celebrating his 3rd birthday.
I love how Roxie set the stage for a high-flying adventure right from the entryway with a creative DIY runway.
Guests could zoom right in and land among the hanging clouds and balloons, which added to the airplane theme.
Setting up your party space is an important part of the planning process.
Roxie’s space was decorated from top to bottom with several different areas sectioned off with clever signs. There was a food court and colorful dessert display with hanging clouds and fabric garland.
Red poms by Pom Tree , and a painted airplane sign provided a great backdrop. Roxie customized the sign with vinyl to spell Chase’s name.
The dessert table was full of treats. Delicious looking cupcakes were topped with party printables by Just a Little Sparkle and added nice height to the table.
Displayed on a paper suitcase, the airplane cake by Creative Cakes by Oz, looked ready for take-off!
Airplane shaped cookies from Picket Fence Confections and chocolate airplane pops by Bubba’s Sweets awaited consumption by hungry pilots.
Baggage claim was decked out with airplanes, paper clouds and a blue suitcase appropriately containing party favors for departing guests.
Such fun favors were available for each little pilot: Roxie put together goodie bags filled with blue “cloud” cotton candy, airplane shaped sugar cookies and a set of pilot wings.
I love the printable airplane favor tags thanking guests for “flying by to celebrate” with Chase.
There was even a sign indicating the location of the airplane restrooms-a potentially important spot for small pilots who may be potty training as well as pilot training!
Kids dined at runway tables, decked out with airplanes and themed party plates (how fun would it be to play with the planes on the table while eating?!).
Chase even had his own custom party plate.
Photo ops are such a fun party activity. This darling airplane photo station is so cute! I can just imagine all of the darling little pilots getting their pictures taken.
I’m sure Captain Chase loved every second of his airplane party. Great job Roxie!
