Oh my word. Being a mom sure changes the way you do things! Before Sam, I would never have thought dressing for dinner meant putting on a skeleton costume, nor would I have considered wearing an astronaut helmet integral to yard work. I can now add both of those events to my resume—and that’s not the pinnacle of my silliness!
My boy, Sam, brings out the best in me. I’m determined to do everything I can to catapult him into his best possible life. Whether that means playing another game when I don’t feel like it or letting him wear cowboy boots to bed, I’m all about letting him explore the world through his imagination. I love being able to provide fun opportunities and new experiences that enlarge his worldview.
Sam’s free play ideas are often sparked by something we’ve done. For example, Sam’s first experience boarding a plane provided fodder for many hours of imaginative play. One day he was the pilot, another day the business passenger or the security man. All of that flying then translated into outer space travel and becoming very fond of wearing astronaut helmets.
For now, even when his head is in the clouds, part of my job is to help keep Sam well-fueled. We eat well without being fanatical, so I love finding products that seem like a treat and are also good for you. Delicious Nestle® Nesquik® Chocolate Powder is a way to enjoy great flavor while amping vitamins and minerals. It contains iron, Vitamin C, three essential B vitamins, copper and manganese—all supporting players for good health. Whether it’s simply added to milk or included in a recipe, Nesquik® adds more than just good taste.
Using Nesquik® in this Chocolate Peanut Butter Avocado Pudding is a terrific way to pack in good nutrition while earning brownie points for great taste. And no, you cannot taste avocado. It’s just creamy bliss, endorsed by moms and pint-sized astronauts.

When I listen to Sam’s playtime fantasies, I often wonder how he will choose to live his life. I want him to believe in himself and his dreams. There are all sorts of possibilities ahead. If these early years are any indication, he is in for a lifetime of adventure, with chocolate on top!
