Substitutions And Additions

CEREAL: You can use any combination of Chex cereal you’d like, whether rice, wheat, or corn Chex. You could also use Cheerios or Shreddies.

MIX-INS: You can add mini marshmallows as well to the Christmas snack mix.

Some people like to add dried fruit, coconut, peanuts, pretzel twists, or dark chocolate as well.

DRIZZLE: Instead of the white CandiQuik, you could drizzle it with melted chocolate chips or peanut butter chips.

PRO TIP:

Have your M&M’s, crushed peppermints, and sprinkles ready to add to the mixture as soon as the white chocolate is melted.

STEP SIX: Drizzle about ¼ of the melted white chocolate over the cereal.

Quickly sprinkle the M&M’s, peppermints, and candy sprinkles (1 tablespoon at a time) over the cereal. Mix gently using two large spoons.
