Chicken is a preferred meat in our house. All my boys love it, making it an easy choice for mama when it comes time to come up with a recipe.
And any form of bread. My boys love some good bread.
My oldest son almost always orders chicken parm when we go to our favorite local Italian place.
I knew I could recreate a fun twist on the dish at home and incorporate some of their favorite things in a new dish.
And voila — a family favorite was born!

Ingredients for Chicken Parmesan Dip
I bet you’ll have these items in your cupboards already, so it’s a great last minute option since it comes together so quickly.
We’ll be using canned chicken breast, Italian seasoned bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, traditional spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese and bread sticks.
You can also add in a little garlic too if your family likes it.
I’m pretty sure my gang almost always smells very, very strongly of garlic because it’s such a staple in our meals. 😉
How to Make Chicken Parmesan Dip
It’s an easy and delicious hot dip that you can make for ANY occasion!

Chicken Parmesan Dip Recipe
- 1 can 12.5 ounces Swanson® Premium White Chunk Chicken Breast in Water, drained
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese about 4 ounces
- 2 packages about 6 ounces each hard bread sticks
- Heat oven to 350°F. Stir chicken, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese in a medium bowl.
- Spread cream cheese in bottom of 9-inch pie plate. Spread half the sauce over cream cheese. Top with chicken mixture. Drizzle with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Serve with breadsticks for dipping.
