You’ll need…

  • 1.5 cups almonds (7 ounces)
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Recipe SUBSTITUTIONS + Additions

SPICE: You could add a dash of pumpkin spice or cayenne pepper to these to shake up the taste a little. Or add ¼ teaspoon of ginger to the mix for another flavor.

SALT: Add a little salt for a yummy balance of flavor.

SERVING: Not only as these an amazing treat on their own, they’re good on a salad or as part of a charcuterie board.

How to Make This Candied Almonds Recipe

BEGIN: Put some parchment paper on a baking sheet and set aside.

STEP ONE: Put all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl that has a lid.

STEP TWO: Turn your microwave on full power (or 1000 watts) and cook the almonds with the lid on for two minutes.

STEP THREE: Take out of the microwave and stir.

STEP FOUR: Cook another two minutes and stir again.

STEP FIVE: Cook for another 60 seconds and stir for the last time.

If needed, you can cook for another 30 seconds.

STEP SIX: Spread the almonds on your baking sheet and let them dry.

PRO TIP: As long as your bowl is big enough, you can easily double or triple this recipe.

How to Store

You’ll want to keep the candied almonds in an airtight container at room temperature. They’ll last for up to a month!
