We’re proud to partner with Walmart and SheKnows Media to bring you these ideas.
Guys: I love Harry Potter.
The world J.K. Rowling recreated is a world that I love dearly.
I was hooked after reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for an English class in college. In fact, I read it twice in a row I was so captivated.
I quickly went and purchased Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and read it straight through, cover to cover.
From then on, I devoured each new book and movie that was released.
I’ve stood in line at midnight for the books. I’ve gone to midnight openings of the movies. My cat is named Alastor Moody. My ringtone is Hedwig’s Theme.
Harry Potter is a very real phenomenon in my home.
I’ve now read each of the books multiple times. Each time, I notice something new and fall a little more in love.
I often pop on one of the movies when I want some background noise while working or doing a project.
Not only have I had the pleasure of enjoying this world of magic, it’s been fun to share it with my kids as well.
My oldest son started reading the books a few years ago. He’s now re-reading them for the fourth time.
His go-to movie choice is also Harry Potter. 😉
My younger two are just starting to ask about the wonderful world of Harry Potter. I have no doubt they’ll be intrigued and in love as well.
Recently, during a trip to Walmart, my boys spotted Harry Potter toys. They immediately recognized the characters and started asking about them. Of course, I was happy to tell them who each toy was. 😉
Walmart just launched an entire new line of Harry Potter toys, with a number of exclusives. When our family had the opportunity to partner to showcase them, I couldn’t wait!
If you love Harry Potter, I would suggest heading to Walmart posthaste to check out these toys and pick up the ingredients for the easy, homemade Butterbeer recipe I’m going to share with you in a moment!
First up: Harry Potter Mystery Wands only available at Walmart. Each package contains 1 of 9 different wands, and we are on a hunt to collect them all! Which one will you open first? Remember the wand chooses the wizard!
There are also Harry Potter film inspired dolls, available only at Walmart. They feature signature outfits and wands — I love the details they’ve included! Each doll has 11 joints so that you can position them in spellbinding poses.
Ready for more magic? Take a peek at the Training Wizard Wands, which come in four varieties: Hermione Training Wizard Wand, Voldemort Training Wizard Wand, Harry Potter Training Wizard Wand and Dumbledore Training Wizard Wand.
Each has single- and multi-wand modes. You can practice eleven different spells while enjoying light and sound effects. The wands recognize your motion to cast spells and give you instant feedback. Swish and flick! 😉
There are also tons of amazing Harry Potter themed clothes. Because who doesn’t love dressing up?! And I die over these glasses. They are so cute!
While you’re in the spirit of playing, a cold beverage is always an excellent idea.
Ever since the first time I read about Butterbeer, I was intrigued and wanted to try it. Who wouldn’t!? An imaginary drink in an imaginary world — I couldn’t help but wonder, “what does Butterbeer taste like?”
What is Butterbeer?
It’s described as having a flavor of a cross between shortbread and butterscotch.
I’ve seen recipes for all sorts of Butterbeer inspired treats from hot drinks to cold drinks to frozen drinks to lattes to ice cream to cakes and cupcakes.
