Never Think About What to Make for Dinner for the Next Two Months with My Lazy Cooking Bundle
Every Tuesday till early September we’re going to be featuring a budget themed dessert table or tablescape from the talented women who have graciously volunteered to take on our Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge. And we’re even going to throw our own work into the ring from time to time and follow the same budget confines. Every participant gets the Spaceships and Laser Beams Collection of their choice + $50 for a dessert table or $20 for a tablescape. They can also use anything they are able beg or borrow, make themselves or already own.
I think I have mentioned before that the Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge is one of the most amazing things I have ever done as part of Spaceships and Laser Beams. To “meet” so many talented women from around the world and then see how they interpret your work is truly inspiring. And today’s feature from Mindy of Creative Juice is a prime example of that. It’s a mad science themed birthday party that she threw for her son’s second birthday — using our mad science collection, which Lindsay designed, as the foundation. As I have been raving on our Facebook page, I think this is the best mad science party I have seen yet. Today, I’m featuring the photos of the food + dessert table in this post and I’ll have the favor bags a little later on. I’ll cover the activites in a post tomorrow. Mindy’s own words (the text in italics) are below. Because it had more elements than a dessert table or tablescape, the budget for her party was more than $50 but she has tons of budget saving advice!
I am so completely mesmerized by these cupcake toppers from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes. I never thought I would be enamored with something like a fondant brain!
I had to include a picture of the cake because it looked soooo good. Mindy got it from Traylor Made Treats.
And here’s what Mindy had to say:
