We love living in Arizona. Even though most of the states are still experiencing mild spring weather, we are already into the hot stuff. We’re wearing shorts and swimsuits out here—it’s great!

Our warmer climate means we’re always looking for fun ways to keep the kids cool while they’re playing in the backyard. This year I’ve been perfecting some new frozen treat recipes for my boys to taste test. They’ve also been spending a lot of time cooling off with water-based activities and games.

H2OGO Tetherball

We like the H2OGO! Water Slide because of the inflatable launch pad and the wet drench pool for a big splash finale. I especially appreciate that it provides a smooth and safe landing and it’s tough enough to stand up to active boys.

H2O Go Water Toy

This year we got a new H2OGO! Tether Ball Splash™ to add to summer fun. I guess you’d call it a tether ball-sprinkler hybrid. It looks like a tether ball but the center pole is a soft inflatable that easily hooks up to a garden hose. Water squirts out of the ball and sprinkles the kids in the most satisfying way! My little guys love whacking the ball and the water squirts are like an automatic reward!

H2OGo Tetherball

Since the center pole is 79 inches tall, it is a toy that can be used for years by a wide range of ages. It’s good for sharing but it’s a toy that a kid can play on his own, too. The base has a soft water chamber that keeps it stable and I like that the kids don’t get hurt accidently hitting the pole or base. Safe backyard fun is a big “yes”!

Strawberry Lemonade Popsicle

When it’s time to take a break from all the activity, a big “yes” for my boys has been my homemade strawberry-lemonade frozen treats. Delicious and refreshing, they’re just the thing for busy playdates. The only problem? I have a hard time not eating them all!
