After one of the longest, coldest winters I can remember in a very long time, I am SO over joyed to welcome spring! With the return of warmer temperatures and sunshine, we’ve been spending a lot of time outside the past few days. I’ve cleaned off the patio furniture, dragged out the sandbox and fired up the grill. I really can’t wait for the hours we’ll be spending outside in the coming weeks.

Easy Honey Garlic Ribs

On Friday, Sam and I headed out to Wal Mart to take advantage of their low prices while we picked up some “summer food” to enjoy over the weekend. Sam was giddy with the anticipation of an outdoor picnic. To be honest, Mike and I were excited too. I made sure to also grab some packages of Wet-Nap wipes using my Wet-Nap printable coupon. I love their cute packaging and refreshing scents. It also comes in convenient sizes — perfect for taking outside, placing on a party table, or throwing in your purse.

At Sam’s birthday party last summer, they were a lifesaver for me. I happened to put some in a Mason jar on the party table, just in case kids got sticky eating cake. I’m so glad I did, as it made it easier for parents to clean up kids quickly before sticky fingers went all over the tables and walls. Now, I leave several packets of Wet-Nap wipes in a Mason jar by our back door so that we can take them outside whenever we go for a picnic.

For our first picnic of the year, Mike and I teamed up to make some delicious BBQ. It’s a family favorite that even Sam likes. Along with our other summer sides, it’s the perfect meal to enjoy indoors or out!

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it’s okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
