Healthy Food Ideas: Mango “Fries” with Yopa Greek Yogurt + Giveaway

I am all about finding little moments to celebrate each day. Because I work from my house, if I didn’t find those reasons to celebrate, I would literally go crazy. When home and the office are the same place, you need to keep a positive attitude to ensure you don’t get into a rut. That’s why celebrating success is so important. However, I used to reach for a cookie to celebrate every little success. But the fact that Sam is four and I still haven’t lost the “baby weight” has made me come to terms with the fact this is a bad plan!

Since we are working hard to become healthier {Mike’s even running a marathon in a week, can you imagine?}, we’ve been incorporating more healthy foods into our life. I recently switched to Greek yogurt and I love it. Because its thick and creamy, I feel like I am breaking my healthy eating rules – but it is actually the opposite!

Healthy Appetizer Idea - Mango "Fries" with Greek Yogurt Dip

Incorporating super tasty Yopa! Greek yogurt into our party has been a great way to celebrate without sacrificing taste! It is packed with wonderful health benefits disguised in great flavors. I’m pretty sure Sam and Mike have no idea that the delicious snack they are enjoying has so many health benefits for them — they just enjoy the great flavors!

Now, when I say I love Greek yogurt, I might be understating it. Not only do I love the taste and texture, I love the health benefits. {Now there is something to celebrate!} This particular brand, Yopa!, is non-fat and has double the amount of protein (8g!!!) as traditional yogurts. There are active cultures to promote stomach health. You also get wholesome ingredients and fresh fruits and I love that there are NO preservatives of any kind used.

Yopa Strawberry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt

There are five creamy flavors of Yopa! and I have already tried Ooh-la-la Strawberry Cheesecake, Mmmm! Mango Tango and Va-Va Vanilla Bean. The Lotta Pina Colada and Very Berry Lush are next on my list to try. All three I have tried, tasted fresh and mild, but the vanilla bean is my favorite already. It’s got the creaminess that I love with Greek yogurt plus the yummy sweet from vanilla. The Mango Tango is a very close second. I love dipping fruit into it because it has a mild citrus flavor and is thick enough to act as a fruit dip.

I’ve even come up with a healthy and easy party appetizer as a result: mango fries and dip. Our guests — both kids and adults  — have loved it. If you want to know how I make it, check it out in the video below.
