Healthy Kid’s Snacks: GoGosqueeZ + No Bake Granola Bars

By  | Last Updated:

My family is enjoying healthy snacks as part of a sponsored series with GoGosqueeZ and Socialstars. #GoGosqueeZSquad

Christmas is over— can you believe it? Seasonal fun sure takes a lot of energy! In addition to shopping, special play dates and church events, we had several family parties. My boys have weathered all of the extra activities really well. Especially when we’re heading out, I make sure I have some healthy snacks in my bag because I’ve found out that cute little boys are offered way too many candy treats during the holidays! I’ve been vigilant about feeding my guys healthy snacks while we’ve been on the go. GoGosqueeZ has been a life saver.

Organic Snack Ideas for Kids

Since it is 100% fruit (plus it’s gluten, nut, and dairy free), GoGosqueeZ is a healthy snack I can feel good about feeding my kids. There are a dozen different applesauce combos and there are fruit and veggie combos. If you prefer organic, they’ve got you covered there, too.

I really appreciate that there is no added sugar, no high fructose corn syrup and no other added flavors or colors. It’s just real fresh fruit and a splash of juice. Sometimes my kids ask for a “slushee” so we freeze the GoGosqueeZ pouches and the kids think it’s a great treat.

I’ve found that if I have some goodness on the go ready, my guys are usually content to leave the super sugar treats alone. My number two son, Zane, has been my best kitchen buddy lately. We made granola bars again recently and they also get stashed in my day bag when we’re leaving the house. GoGosqueeZ and a granola bar go a long way toward keeping everyone content. Want to make some?

GoGo Squeez Applesauce Pouches

GoGosqueeZ + No Bake Granola Bars

  • Author:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter {creamy or crunchy}
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cups quick cook oats
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • Mix-ins of choice: we like chocolate chips and coconut! Dried fruit, nuts and raisins would also be good.

  1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, bring honey, brown sugar and butter to a boil. Then, turn the heat down and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
  3. Press the granola mix into a pan lined with parchment or wax paper. You’ll want them about 1/2 inch thick so they don’t fall apart. I used a can of fruit to help smoosh them down! Cool on the counter until room temperature and then cut into bars. You can store these in an airtight plastic bag or container or even put them in the freezer.
