[Inspiration] Eclectic Woodland Party

By  | Last Updated:

When a mom of three boys plans a first birthday, you know she’s doing it with experience behind her. But when that mom of three boys is the talented Meredith Eisele, you know the results will be gorgeous. I first saw the pictures of this party when I was scanning the enormous photo library on the Children’s Party Network and I immediately contacted Meredith to see if we could use them for a boy party inspiration post. Meredith created what she calls a “Woodland Bunny” theme to celebrate her son Colin’s first birthday (he’s her third boy). In her original post, she says “I wanted the feel of the birthday party to be sweet, vintage, and eclectic. Think more backyard wedding than child’s birthday party. 😉 I collected vintage lace curtains, baby shoes and silver serving dishes from flea markets, the Goodwill and Habitat stores” My favorite parts are the gorgeous color palette of tan, grey, white and chartreuse as well as Meredith’s use of texture to keep things on the boy side of beautiful. Check out more of Wright Image Photography‘s photos…

And I couldn’t resist this photo of the three boys. Gorgeous! And I imagine one of Meredith’s favorites from the party.

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
