Elegant Boy Baby Shower

By  | Last Updated:

A boy baby shower using blue and white damask is one of the loveliest ideas I’ve seen! Sunny, of Sunny by Design, chose to style this party using reverse prints of damask. The consistency of this theme decoration, coupled with flowers and hints of pale green, created an elegant freshness. I really like the way the cake and cupcakes are frosted in blue and white ruffles. The effect is especially charming against the pale wood of the savory and dessert table. I’m also loving Sunny’s beautiful country garden boy baby shower – how delightful!

This shower was styled by Sunny and her friend, Elizabeth, to celebrate the arrival of a friend’s baby. I understand the ladies enjoyed working on their plans for this event for several weeks. Sunny cut out simple circle shapes and hung them in a garland over the serving table. She used a blue and white runner as a foundation on the pale, wooden table; simple white serving dishes contributed to the clean look of this party. Fresh flowers, in blue and white damask and lace-wrapped Mason jars, add an attractive accent on the food table.

The damask pattern is repeated on the cupcakes holders, the caramel popcorn cones and the party food tent cards. A solid blue on the cake and the plates coordinates well. The shine of the silver trays offering cupcakes and sweets is an appealing highlight, too.

Boy Baby Shower Decorate a Onesie Game

Instead of using guest name tags, Sunny printed out names and glued the papers to wooden clothespins. They served as decorations too, along with the white onesies, which you can buy here. The onesies served as a type of cute banner before becoming part of the popular decorate-a-onesie activity. A pennant style banner in theme colors was strung across the room, too, for more party cheer.

Boy Baby Shower Game Ideas - Guess the Baby Food

Another spot that the damask showed up on was as masking labels and on a tally pad. These were used for a guess-the-baby-food flavor game. Sunny also created a keepsake “wishes for the baby” book. Guests signed their names and penned fond hopes for the new arrival.

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots.
