Boy’s Vintage Baseball Birthday Party

By  | Last Updated:

Spring training has already started for 2014, and that means baseball season will be in full swing soon! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by sharing this boy’s vintage style baseball birthday party and dessert table from Jennifer, of BellaGrey Designs. From peanuts to cracker jacks, she definitely covered every aspect of the game. MW Photography captured every aspect of the party!

Jennifer scored a homerun with her little guy, starting with a unique felt pennant invitation. I just love the classic red, white and blue pinstripes she used. The font utilized on the invitation is reminiscent of vintage baseball programs, too.

The dessert table was remarkable, with an astro turf and duct tape foundation resembling a real baseball diamond. What a great idea! The entire set-up looked very similar to a ball park concession stand, especially with the custom scoreboard backdrop that displayed Greyson’s name and age.

With a combination of sweets and healthy treats, they had many ballpark favorites including hot dogs, popcorn (homemade in their vintage looking popper), Double Bubble Gum, cotton candy, peanuts and Cracker Jacks. There were also fruits, veggies, baseball cookies (with 3 different designs/sizes) and cupcakes too. The pennant waving birthday cake (by Margie Lou’s Sweets) looked like a miniature field of dreams.

Hands down, my favorite treat at her party was the plastic baseball helmet sundaes, and wooden spoons. Jennifer hand-stamped the fun baseball terms!

Another special aspect of Jennifer’s decorations is how she included her husband’s actual Little League game ball from when he participated in the sport. Using real bats, helmets, balls and gloves made it easy to carry the theme.

Each guest was sent home with a custom made score board box from Piggy Bank Parties that matched the backdrop image. It was filled with baseball cards, whistles, bubble gum and a baseball ring.

With baseball season right around the corner, it must mean that spring is on the way: that’s another reason to party!
