Boy Birthday Party Ideas {March 4-8}

By  | Last Updated:

Whether it was a boy’s first birthday party or party themes for older kids or even new party supplies, we had an action-packed week here at Spaceships and Laser Beams. (That’s not even mentioning the giveaway we organized with more than 60 other participants to offer up three iPads!!!!)

Check out all of the great boy party ideas from the past week:

I totally broke my own rules and posted a girl’s party on this blog this week. It doesn’t happen much but I thought that the bowling themed birthday party by Amanda’s Parties to Go was so perfectly gender neutral a little rule breaking was in order.

I’m going to admit it right here: this DIY on how to make an elephant cake from awesomely awesome guest blogger Samantha of Sweet Eats Cakes is one of my favorite posts ever. It actually makes a clumsy in the kitchen like me could make this fabulous fondant creation. And her post on How to Plan a Wild Kingdom Jungle Party is equally fab.

I’m in love with this nautical themed first birthday party from Idea! Event + Style. She did such an amazing job with absolutely every detail!

If you’re looking for boy party ideas, our weekly linky doesn’t disappoint. You’ll find a variety of them from so many fabulous party planners — and party mamas — including this AMAZING Harry Potter birthday party from All for the Boys. And let’s not forget all the great ideas submitted to last week’s boy party ideas linky. We had a round up of 21 Boy Party Ideas We Love that included the adorable Little Man Moustache Birthday (pictured below) from RV Parties.

In terms of activities, games and overall style/experience, I think this barnyard carnival birthday by Dot and Dash Parties is one of the most well-rounded parties we’ve ever featured on our blog!

Our own owl and raccoon dessert table from our Woodland Buddies Collection, finally made it to the blog! Our goal was to create a ‘pretty’ boy’s first birthday party dessert table.

I love this stunning Old Fashion Barber Shop boy’s first birthday party from Little Teas. Every detail is perfection.

Check out these adorable fondant frogs from a bayou themed party that I am doing. I purchased them from one of my favorite vendors, Edible Details, and I am in love.

We featured our new superhero comic book themed invites from our Cape Crusaders Superhero Birthday Party Collection.

Guest blogger Stephanie P. from Fourth and Hazel Photography for AWESOME Kids brought us this awesome DIY no sew boy’s bow tie tutorial. It would be perfect for a multitude of popular boy’s birthday party themes including mad science, circus, and litte man parties.

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
