Prehistoric Party: Dinosaur Birthday for a 2 Year Old

By  |

It’s not too often that I get to see my own creations in person! So when my son and I were invited to a dinosaur themed birthday party for one of his friends and they were using items from my Etsy shop, Spaceships and Laserbeams, I was very excited! They chose Andrew’s Prehistoric Party Dinosaur Collection to make their party a little boys dream come true! {Plus, Take a peek at some of our other dinosaur themed birthday party ideas for your little boy!}

Collection items include a birthday banner, decals straws, cups, and more. Even a birthday boy crown!

The idea is that everything is coordinated, so it makes it especially easy to plan your party and then add your own special touches, like Kim and Paul did for their son’s birthday party.

Party favors included plastic buckets filled with goodies — including bubbles, a dinosaur themed coloring page that Kim wrapped in our napkin rings to keep them organized. She also hung our “We’re Saury to See You Go” favor tags off the site of each bucket.

I love the way the decals look on the side of the buckets and how it ties everything together for this party!

When it came to cake time, delicious vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting were served.

(The custom labels help continue to bring the theme to the food table! I love the faces that Andrew has created with these dinosaurs! )

One of the best parts of the party was the cake… it’s out of this world! It’s the first birthday cake that the parents have ever made. They found their inspiration online and got busy!

The large, purple dinosaur has a great expression on his face and I love the spikes along his back! He was also a kid pleaser since he was so big! {Check out more great dinosaur themed birthday cakes!}

Here’s my son, Sam – sweaty, in a diaper, with ice cream on his face and wearing one of our dinosaur party hats. Times this by 10 and you get an idea of how the little boys at the party looked together. So cute.
