When you think of bedtime, what comes to mind? I imagine story book reading, cuddles in the rocking chair, a prayer and a final kiss goodnight. For many kids, the fear of bed-wetting is a very real part of their bedtime routine.

Bed-Wetting Tips with Huggies Goodnites

If this is something your family has struggled with, you’re not alone. With a number of causes and no real cures, it can often feel like a guessing game over what might help. As a parent, the last thing you ever want is to feel helpless when trying to help your child.

  • Be patient – explain to your child that bed-wetting isn’t their fault and that eventually they’ll outgrow it.
  • Limit beverages at least two hours before bed.
  • Have your child use the bathroom right before tucking them in.
  • Wake up your child during the night to use the bathroom – about four hours after bedtime is a good starting point.
  • Constipation {or other issues} can sometimes be a factor, so be sure to speak with your doctor.
