Potty Training Tips for Boys

By  | Last Updated:

Thank you to Pull-Ups for sponsoring today’s post and helping me Potty Train with the Big Kid Academy.

Meet Zane. Quite possibly the most stubborn three year old boy who ever lived. He’s also my precious middle son, whom I love and adore. That doesn’t mean that we don’t butt heads sometimes though – we’re both stubborn. {He got that strong will from his mama!} Over the past year, my husband and I have worked on potty training Zane to no avail. {Potty training boys is not for the faint of heart!} Now that he’s three though, I am feeling the  pressure to be done with diapers. I’m ready for Zane to be a big boy!

Potty Training with Huggies Pull Ups

We’ve recently started using Huggies® Pull-Ups® and the Big Kid Academy as part of our plan for potty training success. With the fun Jake and the Neverland Pirate print plus the easy on/easy off features, I’m confident it’s going to work this time.

Potty Training with Help from Huggies

After picking up our Pull-Ups® at the store, I headed home and enrolled Zane in the Big Kid Academy online. The Academy helps you during the potty training journey with your kids. With great solutions for how to handle night time, plus the best clothing for potty training, their entire site offers fantastic support.

  • Get a potty that your son is comfortable to sit on.
  • Use books, DVDs or songs to help encourage your little guy.
  • Encourage some “target” practice by using toilet paper or cheerios.
  • Create a schedule to help prevent accidents.
  • Find what motivates your son — then use it to help him celebrate his success!
  • Don’t become frustrated or discouraged.
