Over the past few months, we’ve been working with Sam on brushing his own teeth. I had no idea the journey we were in for when we started! While Sam is an easy going little guy, teaching him to be thorough while brushing — and not rushing — has been quite an experience! Mike and I believe oral care is so important to a person’s overall health, which is why we want Sam to learn young.

Ever since Sam’s first little teeth started popping through his gums, I’ve trusted Orajel with his oral care. A friend recommended the homeopathic teething remedies when Sam started having discomfort. Mike and I were amazed at the difference when we gave him the teething tablets! Once his first teeth came in, we started using the training toothpaste.

Now, Sam loves using his “big boy” toothpaste. I love that Orajel partners with parents — you can rely on them to help establish an oral care routine by educating and teaching children how to brush properly and safely. It’s no wonder they’re the most recommended brand from pediatricians and parents. The Orajel products make brushing fun for Sam with his favorite characters. We also introduced this printable I created. We put it inside a picture frame and Sam is able to check out each time he brushes with a dry erase marker.

Stephanie Keeping

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
