Awesome Ideas for Earth Day #MomsCheckIn

By  | Last Updated:

Earth Day is around the corner! With the beginning of spring, it’s the perfect time to celebrate. We’ve gotten quite a bit of rain this last week, so everything is starting to get buds and turn green. After a long and cold winter, I couldn’t be more thrilled. The Moms Check In crew is sharing some of our favorite ideas for Earth Day today — what’s your favorite?

Awesome Earth Day Ideas

Amanda: This year for Earth Day I plan on making cupcakes for Josh! These Candy Sprout Dirt Cupcakes look just like the real thing and I think he will get a big kick out of them! I can’t honestly say that we go all out, but he usually does something special at school that leads into some pretty great dinner conversations!

Jenni: We usually do something pretty easy for Earth Day, whether it’s a little craft or making a “dirt” type of dessert or snack. They celebrate at school and little man comes home with all kinds of cute crafts and the like. It’s a great reminder for us all that this Earth is ours to take care of. We need to be good stewards.

Stephanie: I think it’s important to teach our kids to take care of the world we live in. We have Sam participate with us when we recycle and when we work in the yard. He loves watching things grow and helping to take care of them. Check out these easy gardening tips as you celebrate Earth Day this year!

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it’s okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
