30 Best Picture Books of 2013

By  | Last Updated:

We love books for boys around here! At the end of a long day, spending time at home with Mike and Sam makes all the work worth it. Sam’s snuggles energize me and encourage me to keep going. During the cold winter months, I love curling up on the sofa with both my guys, a fleece blanket {yes, it has Lightning McQueen on it}, and a good book. We enjoy lots of great Christmas movies during this season, but a good, old fashioned night of book reading makes my heart happy. The older Sam gets, the more fun it is to read with him as he is recognizing words and talking about the story line with us more. These picture books are nominated as the bests of 2013. They are certainly Sam approved! I hope your family enjoys some family reading time with these picture books as much as we have.

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it’s okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
