18 Kid Friendly Halloween Movies to Play at Your Party

I have previously thrown a Halloween Party that had a horror movie theme.

I thought I would share a list of our favorite Halloween movie titles to get you in the party spirit – and would give that party more of a PG rating. 🙂

You’ll love this great round up of new kid classics plus some old favorites you’ve grown up with! Turn down the lights — it’s family movie night, Halloween style.

1. The Dog Who Saved Halloween

Zeus and the Bannisters have moved into a new house, just in time for Halloween! When some strange lights and sounds start coming from the neighbor’s house they decide to investigate, but after getting trapped inside the spooky house it is up to Zeus to save the day! This family favorite flick is full of dog-like adventure and sure to put you in the Halloween spirit.

It’s a night full of zany fun and comic chaos once the tricky 300-year-old trio sets out to cast a spell and reclaim their youth. Hocus Pocus is an outrageously funny movie that’s sure to entertain the whole family.

Scooby Doo and the gang are at it again in this special collection of four episodes that promise an entertaining Halloween fright fest. Choose from epsiodes where the gang investigates a girl stalked by a vampire in a castle, a run in with a mummy and an ancient curse, a high-tech house haunted by ghosts, and a freaky beach looming with sea monsters!

Watch as the buddies use the help of some unexpected friends including a friendly ghost to stop the evil warlock from opening a portal between realities! For ages six and up, this movie is a wildly fun and adventurous Halloween movie to enjoy.

In Yo Gabba Gabba’s Halloween, excitement abounds as the characters dress up in crazy costumes and collect all kinds of Halloween candy, singing songs to learn about the holiday. One song even helps the characters understand why eating too much candy might not be a good idea, which is always a great message for your kiddos.

15. Spookley the Square Pumpkin

In a world where the only good pumpkin is a round pumpkin, Spookley the square pumpkin is teased by others because of his differences. Three hilarious spiders manage to convince Spookley that square or not he can become the pick of the patch this Halloween. This humble and happy Halloween movie is a feel-good story you can feel good about sharing with your kids.
