Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge

[Boy Bash] Woodland Owl & Raccoon Dessert Table

By  |

Every Tuesday till early September we’re going to be featuring a budget themed dessert table or tablescape from the talented women who have graciously volunteered to take on our Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge. And we’re even going to throw our own work into the ring from time to time and follow the same budget confines. Every participant gets the Spaceships and Laser Beams Collection of their choice + $50 for a dessert table or $20 for a tablescape. They can also use anything they are able beg or borrow, make themselves or already own.

The collection used in today’s Boy Bash on a Budget Challenge is near and dear to my heart. It’s our Woodland Buddies themed printablesand the owl and raccoon in it where the main characters at a Sip and See I threw for my good friend Jolene. So I was very excited to see how Angela and Stacy from Bubba’s Basics would use the items. I am loving all their rustic woodland details, like the logs, mixed with yarn accents and the embroidery hoops. I’m also loving that knock-out of a turquoise console in which they staged the dessert table. Great job ladies.

Using a lot of things they already owned, here’s a rundown of what they purchased:

Edible acorns: donut holes, melted chocolate ships, crushed graham crackers and pretzel sticks
Trial Mix: chocolate chips, Cinnamon Toast crunch cereal, marshmallows, and reeses pieces
Mushrooms: apple slices and marshmallows
Striped straws x 2 packages
yarn (garland and tree decoration) and Burlap strip table cloth

Stephanie is in love with a boy named Sam. He has taught her that it's okay to jump first and look later, to wear a dirty shirt to the park and to decide that today is a good day to take a nap in your rubber boots. She hangs out here blogging at Spaceships and Laser Beams and at our printable party shop on Etsy.
