Never Think About What to Make for Dinner for the Next Two Months with My Lazy Cooking Bundle
Many events are planned around a theme. But occasionally an events color palette, decorations, party favors and menu come together based on other criteria. This preppy boy baby shower, planned, styled and photographed by E&S Paper Studio for a dear friend of theirs, was designed based on the wishes and needs of the guest of honor. Not keen on a specific theme, they decided to let the gorgeous beachfront clubhouse that would serve as the shower venue also serve as the inspiration behind the coastal mood of the party. Using the colors of the nursery as their guide, they chose decorations and props that the mother-to-be could later incorporate in her nursery. The preppy grey, blue and turquoise colors were a perfect combination for a beautiful boy baby shower.

Simple is beautiful. E&S Paper Studio kept the décor for this event lovely and understated. Gorgeous blue and white hydrangeas surrounding classic silver lanterns served as pretty centerpieces. Aqua and white chevron runners and aqua chair pads added a pop of color against gray linens and white chiavari chairs from Imperial Party Rentals.
An appetizing brunch and accompanying dessert table menu was already in the works when mom-to-be discovered she had gestational diabetes. Even the best laid plans sometimes have to be altered. E&S Paper Studio quickly modified the menu to be more suitable for her diet.
Scrumptious menu items were served on color-coordinated linens with chevron paper wrapped boxes to add height and interest. The modified menu included delicious omelette muffins, gluten/sugar free chocolate mini muffins and blueberry muffins. In addition there was a gorgeous fruit and veggie bar plus offerings of breads, cheeses and meats. To simplify prep, a few items were purchased pre-cut, but the majority of items were prepared and baked by the hostesses. Impressive!
For those who like Mimosas with their brunch, bottles with personalized labels and printable flag topped straws were served to guests. Its those little custom details that make an event so special.
I love the unique requests included with the invitation for this baby shower. Guests were invited to bring books in lieu of cards to be displayed on a beautiful wooden tree-shaped bookcase that would become part of the babys nursery following the shower. To support the guest of honors concern with the environment, it was requested that gifts be brought unwrapped; clothing items were cutely hung on clotheslines personalized with pictures of the mom-to-be. What a creative way to save the environment and also decorate the party space!
Guests left with striped favor boxes of freshly popped kettle corn and a darling personalized printable tag.
