The creativity in this party is remarkable.
Watching the movie (a million times) sparked the idea for the awesome dessert table backdrop that set the scene for the event.
All of the colors on the table tie in perfectly with the DIY custom vintage billboard Chrissy created.
Notice how the white-washed board effect coordinates with the western sky image.
Real cactus plants add dimension to the presentation and the mini cake bunting perfectly ties in with the table front pennants.
Chrissy also created custom labels and attached them to soup cans.
They look like vintage oil cans except if you look closely, you’ll realize they incorporate happy birthday messages for Tanner.
A terrific display of wooden racers greeted the young car enthusiasts, along with their very own driver’s licenses.
You can imagine the thrill on a little boy’s face as he discovered his very own license, complete with photo, and wooden car to drive.
The table also included an elaborate display of treats and goodies, brilliantly incorporating all aspects of the party’s color scheme. Chrissy uniquely integrated the characters from the movie into the menu.
I love how simple this birthday cake is. It features triangle bunting with Lighting McQueen perched on top.
Cheesy Bugles are labeled as Sally’s Cozy Cones. I love that the blue bowl matches the party’s color scheme.
Mini chocolate donuts make an appearance as Luigi’s Tower of Tires, beautifully displayed on a clear, glass dish.
Doc Hudson’s Dip Sticks are chocolate covered pretzel sticks, served on a simple, white dish.
Melon balls on skewer sticks offer a refreshing option to the party food table and are aptly named Sheriff’s Stop Lights.
Fun, bright white and blue striped containers are the perfect vessel for cotton candy and popcorn.
Cupcakes topped with mounds of frosting and Chrissy’s cute party printables rounded out the treats menu.
There are savory choices on the party food table as well.
They include Chick Hicks Chicken Strips and Guido’s Pizza.
There’s also a tasty cheese and crackers platter that guests could nibble on.
Instead of the party classic Pin the Tail on the Donkey, small guests were encouraged to play Pin the Buck Teeth on Mater. So cute!
The guest of honor was treated to an adorable Disney Cars race car driver shirt, beautifully incorporating the little boy into the party theme itself.
Guests were able to “drive” these amazing, handmade Lightning McQueen cars in a race. Fun ideas like this make a party even more special.
Kids could head to the craft table to design their own license plate with the plentiful amount of art supplies.
Ramone’s House of Body Art featured the kids’ favorite activity, face painting.
A Snap Booth photo booth entertained adults and kids alike.
These construction cone cups are seriously so great! And what kid doesn’t love a bendy straw to drink with?!
Before racing home, young guests were able to collect their Cozy Cone drink cups, wooden racing cars with their personalized license, and trophy favors filled with Cars Pez candy and a little car.
