It was styled by Jessie, of A Stylish Affair by Jessie, for her nephew’s 9th birthday.
Jessie designed a terrific dessert table with a Minecraft themed fondant cake as an edible work of art. It was an impressive centerpiece.
To add height to the table, boxes were wrapped in stone paper — ideal for this theme. Treats served in metal pails that correspond to game elements were embellished with matching printable food labels.
Aren’t the square frame stands perfect? (Party tip: You can find those at IKEA for $1!) Faux grass was an excellent display choice for custom printable wrapped candy bars, gold “bars” and licorice “TNT” bundles.
More thematic details were incorporated through the use of printables; stone garlands and a Happy Birthday banner inspired by Minecraft added to the dessert table décor.
Speaking of printables, if you look closely, you can see a copy of the cool Minecraft inspired invitations which invited guests to “creep on over” for a 9th birthday party.
I also love that a custom printable was used to dress up the green party favor bags. They cleverly read: “Thanks for creeping over”.
Instead of just juice or pop, a Minecraft inspired party means serving “Creeper Juice” to attendees. The juice wraps were the perfect way to add a fun detail to the beverages.
Guests dined at tables brightened with layered green and blue plates, napkin wraps, Minecraft wrapped water bottles and Creeper marshmallow pop centerpieces.
