Full of color, this bouncy ball-themed 2nd birthday party really pops. Styled by Shanna Spainhour, with printable designs by Kelli of K Customables, this celebration zings with energy just like little two-year-old’s who are often bouncing from one thing to the next just like a bouncy ball. When playing with any type of ball is a favorite pastime, a ball-themed party to celebrate turning two seems like an exceptionally fun choice.

Turning two years old is cause for celebration and the adorable signage created for the dessert table is not only bright and happy but also is an appropriate reminder of the guest of honor’s new age. It’s a perfect centerpiece for the table. Neatly arranged on a red tablecloth, clear glass vessels and cake stands provide a home for colorful candy and treats.

We love how the ball theme is carried throughout the dessert offerings with cupcakes and a coordinating cake decked out in fondant circles (balls) and dressed up with a printable cake topper. Printable toppers are an affordable and easy DIY way to add some pizzazz to your cake. Candy choices are also coordinated well with the theme and color palette. Mini gumballs, Skittles, and gummy bears in rainbow colors were both treats and edible decor!

A separate beverage station is always a great idea when more space is needed. The custom chalkboard with details about the birthday girl or boy is a charming touch that enlightened guests and served as a nice focal point for the beverage station. It’s a great keepsake post-party to capture all of the physical particulars and personality traits of the guest of honor.

Bright honeycomb balls and custom chandeliers are fun overhead details; we love when people remember to decorate unexpected spaces like ceilings and floors. Another thing that really helps this party stand out is the mix of eye-catching primary colors and fun polka-dotted patterns used on the printables and throughout the styling. Birthday boy Boone’s love of balls is definitely showcased in the festive details.

We especially love how the printable banners pop against the colored tablecloths and the way that containers of balls are used as décor throughout the party space. Custom clothing is all the rage and the birthday guests look adorable in their bouncy ball birthday party shirts. It’s a fun reminder of this special day that kids can wear long after the party is over. Turning two definitely can be a ball!
