Don’t you just love it when a boy's birthday party takes the birthday boy and his party guests to a whole new level of fun? Julie, of My Classic Party, “flew” her son, Luke, and his friends to a sky view birthday celebration with cakes, cupcakes and cookie favors—all while enjoying the comforts of home! Using a fresh take on airplane themed ideas, Julie crafted colorful decorations and a first class “lounge” to create flights of imagination.
A mom who wants to celebrate her boy’s first birthday is a motivated party planner! Although Marina is a busy mom and school teacher, she made time to create a sweet party for her Dominic’s first birthday. After deciding on airplane theme ideas, Marina did a little online shopping and went to a local store for party supplies so she could create her own handmade decorations and treats. The result? A sweet dessert table full of cupcakes, cake and good wishes for the birthday baby and guests.
It's so hard to think of awesome boys birthday party themes this time of year. Boys still want to celebrate their birthdays, even if it is getting close to Christmas! We have four December family celebrations—yikes! Whether you have a December birthday to make merry over or if you’re thinking of ideas for the future, here's are some great themes I've gathered from my favorite sites this week to consider for your next boy birthday party. Some of my favorite boys birthday party themes this week include the winter wonderland theme, robots on parade, a football feature, pirates, planes, construction…and yeah, it’s a circus!
A boy’s plane themed birthday party can really make imaginations soar! The clever Jason and Heather, of Hello My Sweet, have put together another party idea that you’ll want to consider; they always come up with original ways to pull supplies together for creating parties that make you wish for an invitation! Brooke Mayo Photos captured images at “Austin Airlines”, which just happened to be located inside the Sanctuary Vineyards.
Animated boy birthday parties are de rigueur around here, but can you imagine how lively a birthday party for twin boys would be?! Mae, of Mae Armstrong Designs, recently designed and hosted an airplane birthday party for her own twin sons. Since mom has often taken the boys to an observation tower to plane-watch, the idea of using airplanes as a theme for their third birthday was sure to be a winner. Mae put together all the necessary party supplies and coordinated invitations, decorations, dessert table treats and favors; she created an appealing aviation themed birthday her boys (and guests!) are sure to remember.
This boy’s airplane party soars with a cargo load of imaginative ideas. Shauna, of Cupcake with Character, has conceived of an antique map and airplane theme that supplies all the birthday party decorations needful for a darling dessert table. Beginning with invitations that invite guests to “Fly on By”, Donna also offers cute cupcake sleeves, water bottle wraps and clever visuals to delight party-goers.
One of the goals I have with our boy party ideas linky is to do full features on many of the fabulous parties that are shared. Last week, I featured this gorgeous vintage camping themed 3rd birthday party as a result. (If you want to submit your own boy party ideas to our blog so that they can be featured, our linky will start at 4pm on Tuesday.) And to begin this week, I am featuring a wonderful vintage plane themed dessert table, which was submitted to last week's boy party ideas linky by Karo's Fun Land.
Karolina threw this airplane themed event to celebrate her own son's third birthday party. She styled the table using vintage suitcase, jars, and the old fashioned Coca Cola crate. Sweet treats included a variety of candies, whoppers, jet juices (drink boxes), red velvet cupcakes, pilot's cookies and a super cute birthday cake. Vendor credits for this party are at the end of the post.
[Over the next several weeks, we're going to be introducing you to several guest bloggers. Please welcome Martina of Mar-Valicious Bites, who will be blogging about themed cookies for parties each month.]
Nothing's more boyish than blue airplane vanilla sugar cookies to zoom past & around at your Little Pilot's Party! These cute "Blue Aeroplane" vanilla sugar cookies were made, when I was approached by a young mum stating that her 5 year old son LOVES aeroplanes! She said to me, that she would love to suprise her son and his friends with aeroplane cookies for his son's 5th birthday! They were made to be handed out to all his friends in his class at pre-school, which was a great alternative for a cake! All kid's were happy to have their own special treat! These airy aeroplane cookies were decorated using bright blue fondant and piped details in black royal icing.
