Surf Party Favor + How to Marble Chocolate
Hi, Julie here from Sprinkled with Paper! I am so excited to be sharing on Spaceships and Laser Beams. Today I am going to be sharing an idea for beach themed party favors. Whether you’re throwing a beach, surf or under the sea party these chocolate filled shovel favors will be a huge hit. I used plastic shovels found at Michaels, made chocolate sea shells from a candy mold, wrapped it all up nicely in a cellophane bag and finished it off with a custom Sprinkled with Paper‘s Vintage Surf tag.
How to Make Marble Chocolate Shells
To make the marble chocolate shells, I used white and brown candy melts. I melted each separately, melting a full bag of white and 1/3 of the bag of brown candy melts by following the instructions on the bag. Once each what completely melted, I added the the white melted chocolate to an icing bag and plopped the brown into the white. I very gently and quickly mixed the two together and pipped the melted chocolate into the candy mold. It is very important not to mixed completely, otherwise you will end up with a light brown instead of a marble effect. As soon as the mold was completely filled, I placed it into the freezer for about 15 mins. Once removed from the freezer, I gently removed the chocolate shells and they were ready to use.
