Why We Love Whole Living
I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions but there is definitely something invigorating about new beginnings. After all of the wonderful holiday indulging, I’m ready to get back to healthy habits. It always works that way for me. I totally enjoy seasonal treats but after many rich dishes I’m so ready for simple, fresh fruits and vegetables. I’m ready to clean out the closets. I’m ready to get back to an exercise routine. I’m ready to try something new!
Garnier Whole Blends sent me a box of their brand new line of hair care products. Since I’m so pumped for new beginnings, it came at a perfect time! There are five new blends and although all of them are paraben free, use gentle sulfates and contain natural extracts, they each offer a little something extra too: Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter (smoothing); Argan Oil and Cranberry (color care); Honey Treasures (repairing); Avocado Oil and Shea Butter (deeply nourishes); and Coconut Water and Vanilla Milk (quenches and softens).
They all smell good! They rinse out easily and leave hair silky smooth. The Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter is my favourite—what a scent! Even Mike was sold on all of the great smelling combinations. In fact, he tried to confiscate the shampoos for his bathroom! I don’t mind sharing—the whole family can use Whole Blends (except for babies) because there is something for everyone.
And if you’re like me and ready to get back to an apple-a-day, here’s my Apple Nacho dessert idea that totally satisfies. It’s just a little bit indulgent, in the spirit of healthy habits. Each serving is:
- 1 sliced Honey Crisp apple
- 1 tablespoon melted peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon trailmix
- ½ teaspoon dark chocolate chips
Eat healthy. Wash your hair with Garnier Whole Blends. Look good. It’s time for a happy New Year!
