Outrageous Doughnut Milkshake
Sponsored post by Mirum Shopper. All opinions are my own.
Talk about a transition period. Mike and I figured where we wanted to land, quit our day jobs, sold our house and jumped! Although I experienced a few “what were we thinking?” moments before we found our new home, the past couple of months have been some of the best of my entire adult life. We are loving the ease of our new lifestyle.
We now live a short walk away from the beach and an even shorter walk to our generous neighbor and their swimming pool. What a way to sail through summer!
Mike and I have been as giddy as kids with our rediscovered freedom. Sam, always an easy-going sweetheart of a little guy, is happier than ever.
Now instead of just Sam and me in the kitchen like before, all three of us congregate and create fun treats. We’ve found hot weather and milk shakes make great partners!
I discovered Promised Land Milk the last time I went to Kroger’s and was intrigued with the name. It caught my attention because I feel like I’m in a sweet promised land right now!
It’s a lot creamier and richer tasting than ordinary milk because it comes from pampered Jersey Cows, which naturally produce milk that’s higher in protein and calcium. There are no artificial hormones or antibiotics either. Find it in regular or midnight chocolate.
Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream is an old friend at our house—it’s the way vanilla ice cream should taste! It’s made with fresh cream, sugar and milk.
Breyers only uses milk and cream from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones and their vanilla beans are Rainforest Alliance Certified. You can taste the quality difference.
Add Promised Land Milk and Breyers Ice Cream and you come up with the ultimate cool-down milkshakes. Mike, Sam and I try to outdo each other with our sweet concoctions.
This is one of our latest creations. Totally decadent!
- 3 doughnut holes
- 2 cups ice cream
- ½-3/4 cup milk
- Blend until smooth.
- Melt chocolate chips and dip rim of cup in the chocolate and then into sprinkles.
- For the mini doughnuts, I bought mini glazed crullers and dipped them in melted chocolate and then in the sprinkles.
- Stick doughnut holes on a bamboo skewer. Place 3 small doughnuts on top of glass and place skewer through the middle of the doughnuts.
